Earlier, the President of the Union of Greek Shipowners (UGS) Theodore Veniamis led a UGS delegation comprising board members John Lyras, Leonidas Evgenides, George Gratsos, Michael Handris, George Prokopiou, Nicky Papadakis, and General Secretary for Shipping Affairs George Vlahos. The delegation toured the 31,000 square metre floor of the Hellenikon Exhibition for more than an hour and tomorrow they will return for the customary UGS press conference held at Posidonia every two years. It is noteworthy that Greek owners control 22,4% of the world oil tanker fleet and 24,6% of the world bulk carrier fleet.
