21 June 2016 On June 16-18, the Sovcomflot delegation with General Director Sergey Frank, First Deputy General Director Yevgeniy Ambrosov, First Deputy General Director-Financial Director Nikolay Kolesnikov and the Head of the Division of Development and Management of Liquefied Natural Gas Transport Fleet Dmitriy Rusanov took part in the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). Two agreements were signed: with VTB Bank and Gazprom Neft. The first involves a long-term project financing amounting to $260 million for the construction of an Arctic LNG carrier; the second - further expansion of Russian made fuels and lubricants supply to Sovcomflot’s fleet. Several meetings and negotiations were held with Sovcomflot’s key partners and customers at the forum and at Sovcomflot’s headquarters, namely the management of such oil and gas companies as Shell, BP, and Chevron, machine building corporation ABB, J.P. Morgan Bank and others. On June 18, Sergey Frank presented a report at the plenary session of the Conference on Economic Development in the Arctic. The Conference speakers included: Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of Russia Sergey Donskoy, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Barbin, special representative of the Russian President for International Cooperation in the Arctic and Antarctic, First Vice-President of the Russian Geographical Society Artur Chilingarov, member of the Board of Trustees of the Russian Geographical Society Frederik Paulsen, President and Chief Executive Officer of Arctia Ltd, Vice-Chairman of the Arctic Economic Council Tero Vauraste, and Prime Minister of Finland in 1995-2003 Paavo Lipponen.
