Tallink reached net profit of 38 million Euros

Leading passenger shipping company AS Tallink Grupp announced the unaudited financial results for 12 months of financial year 2010/2011* today about reaching the net profit of 38 million Euros (+76%) and revenue of 897 million Euros (+10%).

According to Tallink`s Management Board the results confirmed the sustainability of company`s strategy and profitability of increasing the marketing activities. The increased number of passengers, revenue and revenue per passenger are important milestones for improving the Group results, announced Management Board.

The gross profit of the company increased by 11 percent to 187 million Euros and EBITDA by 14 million Euros to 159 million Euros (+9%) compared to the financial year 2009/2010.

During fourth quarter (June-August), the net profit increased by 28 percent to 54 million Euros, the gross profit by 13 million Euros to 97 million Euros (+15%), the revenue by 24 million Euros to 296 million Euros (+9%) and EBITDA by 16 percent to 90 million Euros.

During the 12 months of the financial year 2010/2011 Tallink transported the record number of 9.1 million passengers (+10%) and 287 865 cargo units (+11%).
