Van Oord starts own campaign to aid Philippines

Van Oord has been intensively engaged in disaster relief in the Philippines in the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan. The company and its employees have started an aid campaign, with Van Oord’s contribution to be dedicated to the rebuilding efforts.

Van Oord has been intensively engaged in disaster relief in the Philippines in the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan. The company and its employees have started an aid campaign, with Van Oord’s contribution to be dedicated to the rebuilding efforts. The company particularly aims to help its Philippine employees. Van Oord will consult with its local organisation in Manila, which will be involved in those efforts, to determine how the aid can best be allocated.

Van Oord has also contributed to an initiative of the KVNR (Royal Netherlands Shippers Association) to work with other shipowners to airlift a shipment of emergency aid to the Philippines.
