Explosion at gas pipeline in Egypt   February 5, 2011

There has been a major explosion on or near a gas supply pipeline in northern Sinai. Egyptian state TV described the blast as a "terrorist attack" which was initially reported to have targeted the pipeline taking natural gas to Israel. However some reports now suggest it was the line supplying Jordan that was hit. Source: Euronews
