Wilhelmsen Ships Service to service Toyofuji Car Carriers in Hong Kong

Wilhelmsen Ships Service has been appointed by Toyofuji as their Agents for their vessels calling at the port of Hong Kong and to oversee the discharge and loading of the cargo in the port.
Wilhelmsen Ships Service is the world’s leading maritime service network, and will provide full Ships Agency services including Cargo supervision.
Toyofuji Shipping Company Ltd, which was established in 1964, is a leading Ro-Ro vessel operator involved in the transportation of cars for Toyota Motor Corporation. The first vessel from Toyofuji Shipping Company Ltd to be attended by Wilhelmsen Ships Service called at Modern Terminals at the end of August. It is expected that between four and six vessels will be calling at Hong Kong Port each month.
Two of the representatives of Toyofuji Shipping, Seiichi Sawada and Alex Fujioka will be based at Wilhelmsen Ships Service’s Kwun Tong office to ensure close liaison between the two companies.
General Manager of Wilhelmsen Ship Service’s Hong Kong office Gur-Prasad Kohli commented: ”We gained this contract as a direct result of the professionalism shown by our operations team when we attended the Ro-Ro vessels from Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics and EUKOR.”
He added ”The team at the Hong Kong office, including Raymond Lo and Bengt Claesson, were instrumental in arranging terminal operations to the customer’s satisfaction.”
Toyofuji Shipping Company Ltd. is the sole marine transport provider to the Toyota Group on both the domestic and International Routes. Transporting Toyota cars, the company operates seven vessels on the domestic fleet and fourteen vessels on international routes. They also operate Terminals in Japan for the import and export of cars.
