Hijacking M/V Asian Glory

11 June 2010

M/V Asian Glory of Zodiac Maritime Agencies, which was hijacked by Somali Pirates on 1 January 2010, was freed this afternoon and is currently en route to a safe port of refuge. All of the crew are reported unharmed and are well. All of the crew’s families are being notified. The vessel was hijacked in the Indian Ocean, 600 miles East off the Somali Coast. Zodiac’s principal concern throughout the hijack has been for the safety and health of the crew aboard the vessel.

Given the international media interest in activities taking place in Somali and the political sensitivities of piracy, Zodiac is unable to provide any further information on the release of the vessel. The Company does not wish to jeopardise the safety of crewmembers on other vessels and crews that are still held by Somali Pirates in the area.

Zodiac Maritime Agencies appreciates the patience and understanding of the media in this situation.
