24 November 2025 Naftogaz Group and Poland's ORLEN have signed an agreement finalizing the supply of 300 million cubic metres of US-sourced liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Ukraine in the first quarter of 2026. The parties previously signed a letter of intent on 7 November in Greece during the P-TEC energy conference. "We continue to diversify our gas supply sources and routes to strengthen Ukraine's energy resilience. This year, as part of our cooperation with ORLEN, 600 million cubic metres of American LNG will be delivered to Ukraine. Overall, in 2026 we expect US LNG imports to reach 1 billion cubic metres. I am grateful to our Polish partners for their trust," said Sergii Koretskyi, CEO of Naftogaz. The gas will be regasified at Poland's Swinoujscie LNG terminal and transported to Ukraine via the Polish-Ukrainian border. "Only a several days passed between the signing of the letter of intent and the conclusion of the final contract. During that time, we refined all the contractual details and obtained the necessary corporate approvals. This swift process would not have been possible without mutual trust and a clear understanding of each party's needs and objectives. The cooperation between our companies enhances the region's energy security while creating conditions for further business development and strengthening market positions on both sides," said Robert SoszyĆski, ORLEN's Vice President of the Management Board for Operations.
